Seoul Design Market 2010 is an international design event and the event comprises of the Mart, where designers and visitors engage in conversations, sell and buy design products. Also, exhibitions and other special events will take place on the site.
In particular, well-known foreign designers as well as domestic ones will be invited to come to Seoul and thus, an opportunity will be given for international designers to get to know each other and network. As a result, the event will enrich the design culture.
Further, the event will provide the opportunity for participating designers to meet CEOs of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and the designers' idea will be developed into products and thus, make a profit out of them.

• Integrated Payment System is to be installed on the site for visitors' convenience.
• Around 3m² of the space in the Market will be freely provided for selected Designers/Teams
• The contents, except for the basic space (booth), shall be organized and managed by the selected designers themselves

* Specific guidelines for exhibition will be provided after designers/teams are selected.

Desginers' Mart

• Contents : Innovative (Design) products , which the designers can actually sell
• Operation : Designers themselves will sell products and manage the booth for 5 days,
  Sept. 17 (Fri.), 2010 - Sept. 21 (Tue.)

Designers, who work in Korea and/or abroad Students majored in design or Teams

• Designers should be able to participate in the event and manage the booth while the Seoul Designers' Mart held.
• Selection can be cancelled and a person can be prosecuted, if it is disclosed at a later date that other designers' work and/or idea is used or imitated without the said designers' permission.

• Evaluation will be focused on sale-ability of designers' products, the level of completion and formative and creative aspects.
• Preference for unique design works that are differentiated from the existing design products.
• Design-related activities will be valuable.
• Experience of participating in exhibitions in Korea and/or abroad will be valuable.

2. 2. Portfolio :
   • Products for sale should be placed on the first page of the portfolio with a price for each product in US dollars.
   • The price of the products should preferably be below USD 85.00 for promotion the concept of design mart and smooth operation of the event.
   • The sales price of the products should preferably be less than the market price, considering the fact that the market space and management of it is freely provided.
   • Present 10 pieces (15 image cuts) in PowerPoint, including ones to display/sell, with a brief explanation for each piece.
   • Name the file as "designer (or team).ppt"

1. A market space will be provided for display and sales of products in the Seoul Design Market 2010 and a brochure will be printed. As a result, products will be promoted through an integrated marketing.
2. Networking: An opportunity will be given to meet CEOs of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises and present designers' portfolios. Also, seminars and designers' party will take place during the Market held.
3. Participating designers/brands will be internationally promoted on the website of the Seoul Design Market 2010 with both Korean and English language service available. (Mobile Service to be available, too)
